It’s easy to not feel confident. It’s easy to compare yourself to others and to not want to step out of your comfort zone because you fear failing. I know I’ve felt that way.
I remember when I was in an MBA program, a business plan I had turned in as an assignment, came back dripping with so much red ink that the professor had stopped scoring it after a few pages. This was yet another blow to my dream and to my confidence. Confidence is important because your dreams (and mine) require it as we take unknown steps in the direction of our dreams.
I’ve learned that true confidence only comes from God. Thank goodness!! Without God confidence, I would not have rewritten that business plan and tried again. By the way, the second time I turned in the business plan, there was barely any red ink and I redeemed my grade.
Here are 7 reasons God gives you to be confident.
1 – You are God’s Masterpiece. He is the one who made you and He doesn’t do shoddy work.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” – Ephesians 2:10
2 – You are valued even during the times when you don’t value yourself. Your value does not depend on you or what you do or what you think of yourself. It depends on God.
“… The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession…” – Deuteronomy 7:6
3 – You are fully known and fully loved.
“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” – Luke 12:7
